Sir Adam Beck No. 2 Generating Station

Sir Adam Beck II Generating Station is located on the Niagara River in Niagara Falls and began operating in 1954. The station has 16 units with a maximum generating capacity of 1,499 MW. Along with the 10-unit Sir Adam Beck I Generating Station, this station diverts water from the Niagara and Welland Rivers, above Niagara Falls, which is then released into the lower portion of the Niagara River.
