Sir Adam Beck No. 1 Generating Station
Sir Adam Beck I Generating Station is located on the Niagara River and began operating in 1921. The station has 10 units with a maximum generating capacity of 548 MW. Along with the 16-unit Sir Adam Beck II Generating Station, Sir Adam Beck I Generating Station diverts water from the Niagara and Welland Rivers, above Niagara Falls, which is then released into the lower portion of the Niagara River.
