New Post Creek Control Dam

Ontario Hydro constructed a dam in 1963 across the Little Abitibi River. At the same time, they also built diversion canals from the headpond to Worobec Lake and from the Worobec Lake to New Post Creek. New Post Creek flows into the Abitibi River upstream of Otter Rapids GS. The dam consists of a timber crib dam with 10 stoplog sluices and two earth filled dykes.
