The Smythe Lake Control Dam is a rock-filled timber crib structure located on the outlet of Smythe Lake, about 10 km east of Trout Creek. It has one stoplog sluiceway.

Sausage Lake Control Dam
The Sausage Lake Control Dam is located on the outlet of Sausage Lake approximately 6 km southeast of the town of Trout Creek. The main dam and sluiceway structures are rock-filled timber cribs. The one stoplog sluiceway has 11 logs.
Nipissing Generating Station
Nipissing Generating Station is the last station on the South River, approximately 3 km east of Nipissing Village. The two-unit station began operating in 1909 with a maximum generating capacity of 2 MW and is no longer in service.
Elliott Chute Generating Station
Elliott Chute Generating Station is located on the South River near the Municipality of Powassan, immediately upstream from the headpond of Bingham Chute GS. The station has one unit with a maximum generating capacity of 2 MW and water fed to it by one steel penstock. It began operating in 1929.
Craig Lake Control Dam
The Craig Lake Dam is located on the outlet of Craig Lake about 35 km east of the village of South River. The structure has two spillways and a concrete sluiceway with 12 stoplogs. The bulkhead section is a rock-filled timber crib that has been covered over by rock and gravel fill.
Bray Lake Control Dam
Bray Lake Control Dam is on the outlet of Bray (Braie) Lake, about 8 km west of Highway 11 and 11 km south of Trout Creek. The dam was built in 1920 and its structure is a rock-filled timber crib covered with rock and gravel.
Bingham Chute Generating Station
Bingham Chute Generating Station is located approximately 3 km southeast of the Municipality of Powassan and began operating in 1923. The station has two units with a maximum generating capacity of 1 MW and was the second station built on the South River, preceded by Nipissing Generating Station.
