The R.H. Saunders Generating Station is located on the St. Lawrence River in Cornwall, ON. The station began operating in 1958 and has a maximum generating capacity of 1,045 MW.

OPG’s R.H. Saunders GS is one of two large generating stations housed in the one-kilometre long Moses-Saunders Power Dam. The Dam is divided in the center by an international boundary line signifying a partnership between Canada, which operates the R.H. Saunders GS, and the United States of America, which operates the St. Lawrence- Franklin Delano Roosevelt Power Project. The Canadian structure consists of a 16-unit powerhouse, headworks, one ice sluice at the end adjoining the American structure, and two adjacent ice sluices at the abutment end.
