High Falls Generating Station is located on the Mississippi River system near the Town of Perth and began operating in 1920. The station has three units with maximum generating capacity of 3 MW.

Crotch Lake Control Dam
Crotch Lake is the most significant lake on the Mississippi River with respect to flood control and the provision of water for low flow augmentation. It is located in the Township of North Frontenac. The water control structure is located at the outlet, on the east side of Crotch Lake, which flows into the Mississippi River.
