Stewartville Generating Station is located on the Madawaska River system in McNab/Braeside Township and constructed in 1948. The station has five units and a maximum generating capacity of 182 MW.
Mountain Chute Generating Station
Mountain Chute Generating Station is located on the Madawaska River system in the Township of Greater Madawaska and began operating in 1967. The station has two units and a maximum generating capacity of 170 MW.
Kamaniskeg Lake Control Dam
Kamaniskeg Lake (or Palmer Rapids) Control Dam is located on the Madawaska River in Brudenell, Lyndoch, Raglan Township. It was originally built in 1881. OPG purchased this dam in 1929 and rebuilt it in 1942. The dam consists of a North Channel dam and a South Channel dam.
Calabogie Generating Station
Calabogie Generating Station is located in the Township of Greater Madawaska. The station was originally constructed in 1917 and was redeveloped by OPG in 2023. The station has two units and a maximum generating capacity of 11 MW.
Barrett Chute Generating Station
Barrett Chute Generating Station is located on the Madawaska River system in the Township of Greater Madawaska and began operating in 1942. The station has four units with a maximum generating capacity of 176 MW.
Arnprior Generating Station
Arnprior Generating Station is located on the Madawaska River system in the Town of Arnprior and began operating in 1976. The station has two units with a maximum generating capacity of 82 MW.
Bark Lake Control Dam
Bark Lake Control Dam is located on the Madawaska River in the Township of Madawaska Valley. It was originally built in 1880 and has been owned and operated by Ontario Hydro/OPG since 1929.
